UCEB - Our story
Founded in 2014, UCEB began as a specialist consulting service, helping students gain entry into Beijing’s top international schools. Our commitment to high-quality teaching and
outstanding results quickly earned us a reputation for success.
As we grew, so did our services. We began supporting students with applications to schools abroad, including the UK, US and Canada. Building on this foundation, we expanded into UK university applications, offering expert guidance on course selection, personal statement writing, and interview preparation—ensuring seamless communication between universities, students, and families.
Over 300 families and students have since engaged with us through our info sessions, workshops and student-focused communication. Many have gone on to make successful applications to top universities worldwide under our guidance.
Today, we specialise in UK education opportunities, expanding our support to include UK international schools applications, offering end-to-end assistance from school selection and application essays to interview coaching and ongoing liaison throughout their education.
Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that from next year, we will be based in the UK, where we will introduce guardianship services—further strengthening our support for students studying abroad.

Steven Luke
Steve Luke is a highly qualified and experienced educator with a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages and a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages, along with Trinity College TESOL certification.
Steve has 20 years experience in international education in the UK and overseas, both an English teacher and a Higher Education & Academic Pathways Advisor, guiding students to top-tier universities worldwide—including the UK, US, Europe, and Asia.
A specialist in UK university admissions, Steve expertly navigates UCAS and global application platforms while helping students craft standout personal statements and excel in interviews.
He also provides guidance for UK summer schools and secondary school placements at KS4 and KS5, ensuring students thrive in competitive academic environments.
His deep knowledge of global education systems, combined with a passion for mentorship, makes him an invaluable advisor for families seeking the best opportunities for their children’s academic future.
Charlotte Luke
Charlotte Luke (Xiaobo Wang) is a highly accomplished consultant with 20 years of experience in international schools across China and the UK. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in English for Education and advanced teaching certifications in Mandarin as a Second Language, she has a passion for fostering student growth in multicultural environments.
She has held key positions in China and in the UK, where she served as a key liaison for Chinese parents, showcasing her exceptional customer-facing and cross-cultural communication skills.
With a proven track record in leadership, curriculum innovation, and student support, Charlotte is dedicated to creating high-quality educational experiences that bridge Eastern and Western educational traditions. Her deep understanding of international school systems—coupled with her fluency in Mandarin and English—makes her an invaluable key to your child’s academic journey.
